Mike Harrison has been investigating a neglected technological know-how: the Eidophor. Ahead of Lcd projectors, an outstanding engineering hard work was set into building a live movie projector. What resulted is a device that made use of a electron gun to manipulate a slim film of oil distribute throughout a mirror. It was pricey, it was sophisticated, and it was the greatest that could be performed at the time.

The talk was offered at the 2016 Hackaday | Belgrade meeting.
